Number of electron does species have
The H22- ion can be conceived to result from the combination of two hydride ions (H-). This species have four electrons; two occupy the bonding molecular orbital, and two occupy the antibonding molecular orbital. In this species, the energetic benefit of the electrons in the bonding molecular orbital is cancelled by the energetic disadvantage of the similar number of electrons in the antibonding molecular orbital. This species consequently has no energetic benefit over two dissociated hydride (H-) ions, and thus it readily dissociates.
Q. Consider the combustion of methane: Suppose the reaction occurs in a flowing gas mixture of methane and air. Assume that the pressure is constant at 1 bar, the reactant
The reaction A ? B + C is known to be zero order in A and to have a rate constant of 5.0 x 10-2 mol/L·s at 25 oC. An experiment was run at 25 oC where [A]0 = 1.0 x 10-3 M. a)

fuul explaination
Why a covalent bond is directional? The covalent bond is formed as a result of pairing of two electrons in the atomic orbitals of two atoms. The bond then should lie along the
