Nucleophilic addition reactions:
While the addition reaction takes place on account of the initial attack of nucleophile, the reaction is known as a nucleophilic addition reaction. Due to existence of strongly electronegative oxygen atom, the p -electrons of the carbon-oxygen double bond in carbonyl group (C = O) obtain shifted towards the oxygen atom and thus such bond is highly polarised. This makes carbon molecules of the carbonyl group electron deficient.

A solid substance with a mass of 200g is at its melting temperature in a calorimeter. While the substance changes from a solid to a liquid at the same temperature, the 400-gram mas
A moving particle may have wave motion, if: (1) Its mass is very high (2) Its velocity is negligible (3) Its mass is negligible (4) Its mass is very high and velocity
Addition reactions - Organic Chemistry Addition reactions are given by those compounds that have at least one p bond, i.e.,
1 gm of a metallic oxide on reduction gives 0.68 gm of the metal. ans) Mass of metal/mass of oxygen=eq. mass of metal/eq. mass of oxygen. applying this we get .68/.32=x/8 x=1
