Neuropsychological understanding of behavioural deficits
Behaviour is an outcome of the interaction of the brain with the environment. A composite of multiple psychological processes shape behaviour. The chief domains of the psychological processes are cognition, emotion and volition. Nuances in behaviour arise because of the nuances of the domains/ process/ components. The aim of neuropsychological assessment is to recognize the disturbed psychological domain/process/ component, which could be giving rise to the behavioural disruption.
