1.0 INTRODUCTION
Welding is a material joining process used in making welds and a weld is a localised coalescence of metals or non metals produced either by heating the materials to suitable temperature with or without the application of pressure or by the application of pressure alone and with or without the use of filler material.
The various welding processes can be classified in many ways. They can be based on energy transfer, type of welding or mode of welding.

A body is subjected to two harmonic motions as given below : X 1 = 15 sin (wt + 30 0 ) and X 2 = 8 cos (wt + 60 0 ). What harmonic motion should be given to the body to bring
Q. What do you mean by Weld and hold time? Weld time During this period the welding current flows through the circuit, i.e., it enters from one electrode, passes through t
Maintenance Operations: The maintenance operations cover various activities such as: (a) making good rain cuts in embankment, (b) clearing the side ditches of vegetatio
Classification Of Welding Processes The classificated depending upon the nature of heat source and its movement resulting in spot, seam or zonal welds; or on the extent of heat
