Interlaced GIF: The conventional which is non-interlaced GIF graphic downloads one line of pixels at one time from top to bottom and browsers display all lines of the image as it slowly builds on the screen.
In interlaced graphic interchange format files the image data is stored in the format which allows browsers to assemble a low-resolution version of the full-sized graphic interchange format picture on the screen whereas the file is downloading. The most significant benefit of interlacing is that this offers the reader a preview of the full region of the picture whereas the picture downloads in the browser.
Interlacing is best for larger graphic interchange format images as demonstrations and photographs. Interlacing is a poor option for small graphic interchange format graphics as navigation bars, icons and buttons.
