You should now have a reasonably clear understanding of what is meant by interaction design. However, there are several other terms which are often used to refer to particular aspects of ID. The most important of these are human-computer interaction (HCI), usability and user experience.
It is important that you understand these, as you will encounter them when you explore the topic on the Web. The definition of each of these terms often differs according to the particular source you are reading (this is also true for the definition of interaction design).
