Implementation of 3 line to 8 line decoder, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

Implement the following function using a 3 line to 8 line decoder.
S (A,B,C) =   ∑ m(1,2,4,7)
C (A,B,C) =  ∑ m ( 3,5,6,7)

Ans. Given function

S (A,B,C) = m (1,2,4,7)
C (A,B,C) = m (3,5,6,7)

These is given as full adder's output is sum (S) and carry ( C ). We already know that 3 to 8 line decoder produces all the minterms from 0 to 7. In the decoder demonstrated in the figure, Do correspond to minterm mo and etc. Therefore by ORing suitable outputs of the decoder we can implement such functions.
