How to Converting Decimals to Percents ?

To convert a decimal to a percent:

Move the decimal point two decimal places to the right.
Place a percent sign after the resulting number.

Example 1: 0.125 = 12.5%

Move the decimal point two places to the right, then put a percent sign after the number.

Example 2: 2.1 = 210%

Move the decimal point two places to the right, then put a percent sign after the number.

Since there is no number after the 1, fill in the empty decimal place with a zero.

Example 3: 0.0086 = .86%

Move the decimal point two places to the right, then put a percent sign after the number.
