Give the applications of PVC.

PVC- It is acquired from polymerisation of hydrogen chloride and acetylene in the presence of a catalyst as peroxides at about 50⁰C.

It is extensively used as insulation and jacketing material for wires and for cables.

Its films, sheets and tapes are used as insulation for conduit pipes and dry batteries.
