Explain Transport of Oxygen By Plasma

At a tension of 100 mm Hg, 0.3 ml oxygen is dissolved in every 100 ml of blood. This small volume is negligible as far as the oxygen supply to the tissues is concerned, but is important in determining the oxygen tension gradient from the plasma to the tissues, upon which diffusion depends.
