Explain about the soil particle distribution, Science

Assignment Help:

Soil particle distribution

The grouping of soil particle distribution into different groups has been done, though arbitrarily, each group represents a range. The limit does not correspond to a marked and discontinuous change in properties.  Thus a particle having 0.019 mm diameter does not show any abrupt difference in property from that of 0.021 mm diameter. This may be expressed by saying that mechanical composition is a continuous function of particle size.
