  • Includes both verbal and nonverbal message
  • Important foundation of communication
  • On the job, we need to know how to create supportive, productive climates that foster good work relationships and outcomes.
  • In personal relationships, we want to develop climates that allow us to disclose private feelings and thoughts without fear of criticism and ridicule.
