Explain the CAPABILITY MATURITY MODELS

Process models are based on various software development phases while capability models have an entirely different foundation of development. They are based on the capabilities of software. It was developed by Software Engineering Institute (SEI). In this model, substantial emphasis is given to the techniques to improve "software quality" and "process maturity".
