Explain Skin changes During Kwashiorkor?

In many cases, dermatosis (changes in skin) is seen. Such changes are common in areas of friction. Dark pigmented patches, akin to sun-baked and blistered paint, are, at times, present (known as 'flaky-paint dermatosis'). These desquamated patches may peel off leaving bleeding patches resembling sunburns.
