Explain process scheduling in multiprogramming
Multiprogramming is able to be defined as a set of following features:
1. A mix of CPU bound and IO bound processes live in the system
2. An IO bound process has superior priority that a CPU bound process
3. Process priorities are static and do not change with time
4. Process scheduling is preventative a low priority running process is preempted if a higher priority process becomes ready
The following figure exemplify the process state transitions in multiprogramming

Explain the general structure of a typical process? There are basically four main sections through which each of the process has to pass through. The universal algorithm is:-
Write a short note about the different STATES of a process. As a process implement it changes state. The state of a process is described in part by the current activity of that

What is the kernel? A more common explanation is that the OS is the one program running at all times on the computer usually known as the kernel, with all else being applicati
Define the Scheduling in Multitasking Earlier we learned the concepts and advantages of multitasking. In a system in which one or more tasks( threads or processes) attempt to s
