Explain Priority encoder with an example.
Ans.
Priority encoder- Basically an encoder is a combinational circuit which performs the inverse operation of a decoder. The input code has, the device is generally termed an encoder, if a device output code has fewer bits.
For example: 2n-to-n, priority encoders. The easiest encoder is a 2n-to-n binary encoder, where this has only one of 2n inputs = 1 and the output is the n-bit binary number consequent to the active input.
One of the main commonly utilized input devices for a digital system is a set of ten-switches, one for each numeral in between 0 and 9. These switches produce 1 or 0 logic levels in response to turning them off or on. While an exact number is to be fed to the digital circuit in BCD code, then the switch consequent to which number is pressed.
Permanently resident pages: Every virtual memory systems have memory areas that are "pinned down", for example cannot be swapped out to secondary storage, for instance:
Accumulator is the register in which Arithmetic and Logic calculations are completed.
What is a 3-D Accelerator? 3-D Accelerator is no magic technology. It is merely an accelerator chip which has built-in ability to perform the mathematics and algorithms neede
The excess-3 code of decimal 7 is represented by ? Ans. An excess 3 code of decimal 7 is equal to the binary code +3.
What is the need of interrupt controller? The interrupt controller is employed to expand the interrupt inputs. It can handle the interrupt requests from several devices and pe
The idea behind inline functions is to insert the code of a known function at the point where the function is called. If done carefully, this can improve the application's performa
