Q. Explain IP Address Structure?

Internet addresses are divided in five types of classes. Classes were designated A through E. class A address space enables a small number of networks though a large number of machines, whereas class C allows for a large number of networks however a comparatively small number of machines per network. Below figure lists five address classes used in classical network addresses.

Regardless of the class of address space assigned, organizations assigned a specific class of address won't utilize the entire address space provided. This is particularly in the case of class A and Class B address allocation schemes.
