Q. Draw Grouped Frequency Tables?

Ans.

Grouped frequency tables are often used when there are many different values. In these tables, the values are grouped into classes that contain a range of values.

Example: Here is a list of marks that Ms. Henry's students received on their last test. Make a grouped frequency table and estimate the mean mark received on the test.

To estimate the mean of the test scores, first find the mean of each class, or midpoint value. Then multiply the class mean by its frequency.

The approximate mean is given by the sum of the products divided by the total number of student scores.

A reasonable estimate of the mean score of these students is 62.2.
