Determine the Types of Exercises

Exercises are generally grouped  into three types:

- Flexibility exercises such as stretching improves the range of motion of muscles and joints which includes flexion, extension, adduction, abduction and rotation.

- Aerobic exercises (exercises done in presence of air) refer to the exercises that involve or improve oxygen consumption by the body. This includes lower intensity activities performed for a longer periods such as walking, swimming, jogging, cycling, playing tennis etc.

- Anaerobic exercises (exercises done in the absence of air) refers to the exercises which are intense enough to trigger anaerobic metabolism  .it is used by the athletes in non -endurance sports to build power and by the body builders to increase muscle mass.
