Determine the principle of darcy law, Civil Engineering

Assignment Help:

Determine the principle of Darcy's law for laminar flow of water through saturated soil.

Illustrate that the coefficient of permeability has the dimension of velocity.

The discharge of water collected from a constant head permeameter in a period of 15 minutes is 400 ml. The internal diameter of the permeameter is 6 cm and the measured difference in heads among the two gauging points 15 cm apart is 40 cm. Measure the coefficient of permeability and comment on the type of soil.
