Design and sketch a knuckle joint to transmit a tensile load, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Give a generalized definition of factor of safety. Illustrate the factors responsible for Un-certainities in design necessitating a suitable factor of safety. How is ‘factor of safety' related by different types of loading ?

Design and sketch a knuckle joint to transmit a tensile load of 32 KN.

A V-belt drive is to transmit 15 KW to a compressor. The motor speed is 1200 rpm and the compressor pulley runs at 400 rpm. Give whole design of the drive.
