Describe the the growth of the plants in the 2 groups, Biology

Assignment Help:

There has not been rain for several months. A biologist is driving down the highway and notices that a large number of corn fields have corn that is wilted and short. She wonders if there is a way that she could help corn to resist drought. She knows that some desert plants have a gene which confers resistance to drought. The biologist works diligently over the course of several years to genetically engineer corn so that the plant contains a gene for drought resistance. She then conducts an experiment. She uses space in her green house to plant two groups of plants: 100 corn plants with the gene for drought resistance, and 100 regular corn plants. She then grows these plants in the green house under conditions similar to a drought, and measures the growth of the plants in the 2 groups.
