Describe Respiratory System?
The respiratory system is responsible for the transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide from outside the body to and from the blood. This process is called external respiration. The exchange of gases between the blood and the cells of the body is called internal respiration. The final level, cellular respiration, is the metabolism of glucose in the cell. We will examine the process of external respiration.
