Define the method of Direct changeover

With this technique, old system is stopped and new system is used Straight away;

 - This method can be disastrous if new system fails at any point  

-  Though, benefits are immediate and less time is wasted  

-  Costs are reduced (just one system in use so save on staff costs)  

-  Less likelihood of a malfunction as the new system would have been fully tested
