Define the Intradermal Dye Test?

The rate of decolouration of a small quantity of the dye, 2, 6- dichlorophenol injected intradermaly is an index of the ascorbic acid nutrition. In persons saturated with ascorbic acid, the dye is decolourised in 5 minutes. In deficient persons the time taken is 10 minutes or more.
