Define Corneal Ulcer - Micronutrient Deficiencies?

Corneal xerosis, if not treated promptly, leads to ulceration of the cornea. Initially, the ulcer may be shallow, and if it becomes deep, it may lead to pelforation resulting in prolapse of contents of the eyeball. These lessions are more common in the lower central cornea.
