compund cylinders, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:
A compound cylinder is made by shrinkage one cylinder of 120 mm external diameter and 20 mm wall thickness. The shrinkage allowance , based on radius , is 0.025 mm. If both cylinders are made up of steel, with Elastic modulus of 200 GPa. Calculate the radial pressure set up at the junction owing to shrinkage.
