There are many resources you could use for providing and enriching environment for children here are some of them.
Community: There are many other persons in community, which could serve as resource persons for providing meaningful experiences for instance people like the policeman, the cobbler, the postman, the doctor, workers in non-government organizations etc. If the teacher wants to talk about health and hygiene, she may invite the doctor to talk to the children about the importance of toilets and their upkeep.
Parents: Parents (in their personal and professional capacity) can serve as major resources in the teaching learning contexts. Parents are usually interested in their children's welfare and so are motivated to help. For example, if the parent has a tractor on their farm.................. and the teacher is teaching about farming...........the parent could be requested to talk to the children about farming and help children have a live experience of the farm and the tractor.
Additional spaces: Sometimes some special experiences need to be organized and more space is required. For example if you wish to display information gathered by the children on maintaining a clean environment, some additional spaces like the neighbouring class; corridors of the school etc. can be used. Other places such as the local temple, the village well, or the place under the big banyan tree, and other places of social gathering can be identified and used by the teacher.
