Clutch Free Play Adjustment : A smooth operation of clutch ensures the smooth running of motorcycle; hence it is essential to maintain a proper clutch free play.

STEPS

  • On checking the free play of the clutch lever, it should be between 10-20 mm.
  • If it is not within the specified limits then loosen the lock nut on RCC cover.
  • The adjuster nut is turned clockwise or anticlockwise to increase or decrease the free play.
  • Check the clutch cable for correct routing.
  • If clutch cable is damaged it should be replaced.

Important points to remember :

  • The free play of the clutch lever must be between 10-20 mm.
