Chi square test and show the chi square test, Biology

Assignment Help:

You are working with plants that have either hairy (dominant) or 'bald' (recessive) flowers. Hairy flowers have little hairs on them that make the flowers look fuzzy, bald flowers lack hairs and thus look smooth. These plants can also have a second ineresting trait: a notorius 'skunky' smell (a dominant trait vs. no smell). You think that the skunky smell comes from chemicals secreted from the hairs on the flowers. You decide to test this idea and to do so, you come up with the following two-part scheme: You set up a cross between a smooth non-smelly plant and a hairy, smelly plant. This cross gives about 200 F1 plants, all with hairy, smelly flowers. You then cross two of the hairy, smelly F1 plants and get the following progeny: 57 - hairy, smelly flowers 25 - smooth flowers and no smell 18 - hairy flowers and no smell Come up with an explanation for this pattern of inheritance that pases a Chi square test and show the Chi square test
