Checkpoints and Cell Cycle Control

Cell cycle checkpoints are control mechanisms which ensure the fidelity of cell division within eukaryotic cells. These checkpoints confirm whether the processes at each phase of the cell cycle have been accurately fully before progression within the further phase. Multiple checkpoints have been recognized, though a few of them are less understood than others.
