Advice on Discharge :  Patients are allowed to go home on 8th or 9th day. It could be even earlier after off pump coronary artery surgery (OPCAB). They should gradually increase their activities without straining themselves. Gradually increased periods of walking at medium pace starling from 20 minutes, going up to 40 minutes per day in about four weeks time is advised. They are prevented from driving a vehicle and lifting weights above five kgs for about six weeks. After six weeks they can return to light activities and gradually resume normal work.
