Assignment Help:

To do the basic laboratory experiments related to the electrical engineering course, students need to have some basic understanding about the measuring tools, apparatus, components, meters and fundamental laws to be implemented. For example, if someone wants to design a basic circuits of power supply, he/she must have the knowledge about the electronic components reading and the fundamental laws used to design the circuits and also the knowledge of measuring equipment. After learning the basic procedures done in this practical report, students can easily implement this basic knowledge into the future professional practice. Therefore, the basic purpose of doing this experiment is to learn the basic skills necessary for an electronic engineering student. In order to accomplish this report, students did three main experiments as follows,

1. Measuring equipment including the multimeter (Uni-Trend UT803, DIGITECH), signal generator (SG) (Goodwill GW GAG-809), digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) (RIGOL DS1062CA).

2. Basic measurement including the measuring of values of electronic components (resistors (R), capacitance (C),direct current/alternating current (DC/AC) voltages) and see the measurment on the DSO. Also the basic functionality of the oscilloscope. It also include the functioning of the SG.

3.  Complex measurement including the analysis of the current and power measurement in AC/DC circuits.

The detail of each experiment and measuring equipment will be provided in the next Section. From the above three steps, after accomplishing the first step of measuring equipments, student will be able to apply this knowledge in their future practice. For example, by using digital multimeter, students can easily measure the components values, AC/DC voltages and the grounding points. In this step, students did some excercises like measuring resistances, capacitances, DC/AC voltages and diode forward voltages. Similare excercises was done for the DSO and SG. The significane of the excercises is very high in increasing the students confidence level and practical skills.
