the entropy change of the universe, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Two insulated and identical tanks are filled with nitrogen.  One tank is at 1 bar, 250o C and the other is at 5 bar, 25oC.  If the two tanks are connected with a pipe and the valve is opened, calculate the  following:

A.  The pressure and temperature of the two tanks when equilibrium is established.  You may
assume the ideal gas law.

B.  The entropy change of the universe.  The ideal gas heat capacity of nitrogen is 29 J/mol/K
