Tinea carporis. And the History of Present Illness (HPI):An African American female of 22 years old presents to the urgent care clinic complaining of a scaly erythematous lesion on her trunk. In the lesion, there is an area of central clearing. The patient reports that the lesion appeared approximately one week ago and has gradually grown in size. She describes the lesion as mildly itchy but not painful; there is no known relief. No other symptoms such as fever, fatigue, or swelling have been noted. No prior history of eczema, psoriasis, or other skin conditions reported.
