As the manager of XYZ Corp., you have noticed emails, letters and memos sent out by your staff reflect poorly on your company. Names of people and businesses are frequently spelled incorrectly. Documents have many of the errors discussed in the Sentence Strategies handout posted this week. Formal communications often use texting conventions, such as incorrect capitalization of the word I (using i instead).

Write an email addressing the problem. While keeping the tone as positive as possible, ask your staff to proofread all written communications. Using the Sentence Strategies handout, include a bulleted list of specific errors.

Encourage your staff to use specific resources to look things up.

Conclude by thanking your staff for the extra effort and stress the benefits of being more professional. Submit the assignment as a Word document.
