Question

The American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) is an organization that focuses on preventing workplace violence among health care workers specificallly nurses. One issue that I would engage in advocacy around by joining this organization, would be the lack of reporting of abusive or violent situations. Nurses or helath care staff might not feel safe or at ease reporting incidents to their placeof work, which is a huge problem that I would address by implementing hospital programs or direct lines to confidentialy, if wanted, and safely report cases. This would work to help staff feel supported in their decision to report unsafe situation, and provide a sense of overall security.
