I agree that the ethical climate of an organization are rules that are not documented, but employees are anticipated to obey them. When an organization has norms that are considered unethical, but yet leaders and employees continue to practice them, then it negatively impacts the organization as a whole. Successful managers and their practices are huge factors that can influence ethical behavior. If the managers believed that in order to succeed, unethical norms are necessary, it will strongly support the unethical work climate (Hunt, Chonko & Wilcox, 1984).
