Question 1: Avondale Industries arranged training for the sales accountant managers at the company's four wheel and brake sites. After the training, three of the sites reported increased results in client satisfaction as well as an increase in orders. One of the sites, however, reported no improvement. It was the senior managers who were involved and interested in the training whose sites improved. The senior manager who did not take time to engage with her sales accountant managers and reinforce the new learning after the training occurred who reported that nothing had changed. Why did the involvement of the senior managers make a difference in the learning transfer?

Option 1: Supervisors who are involved with their employees are most likely to know which employees will benefit from additional training and be able to transfer the learning back to their jobs.

Option 2: Supervisors who are interested in what their employees learn and encourage them to apply their new knowledge are more likely to have employees who transfer learning back to their jobs.

Option 3: Supervisors who are involved with their employees will better prepare them for the training that will occur and encourage the employees to take advantage of the learning.

Option 4: Supervisors who are involved and interested in their employees will take the time to listen to what their employees learned in the training.
