Carlos Mancia Scenario 5 The public health nurse conducts contact tracing on the Mancia family. All members of the Mancia family have tested positive for active tuberculosis. The public health nurse assesses each of these potential environments for the need for TB testing.
1. Carlos' Construction Work: Carlos works alone on jobs. He has a work partner who drops off construction materials but spends all workdays, lunches, and breaks by himself. He does not have personal contact with other work team members.
2. Maria's and daughters' cleaning business: Maria and her daughters clean one house each day in the morning. None of the clients are in the home during the cleaning and most of the client work outside the home during the typical workday.
3. Josephine's Daycare: Josephine is in daycare with several other children. Carlos, Maria, and Teresa share the task of taking Josephine to daycare each day.
4. Their church: Maria, Carlos, and their family attend church on Sundays. They tend to sit in an isolated section of the church and do not interact with other parishioners. They do not attend other activities at church such as choir, prayer groups, or bible study. They enjoy singing traditional hymns.
