There are many characteristics, which are associated with a professional in Human Services, such as empathy. Some of these characteristics may be a part of who you are or you may feel you have experienced yourself in your personal life. These aspects of your personality may have led you to want to work in the Human Services.

Write a brief one-page example about sometime personal life when you demonstrated one or more of the characteristics that are associated with being a professional in this field. Describe the event or situation and what you felt or did at the time. Try to find one or more specific examples that involved people in your life at school, work or home to illustrate these characteristics.
