Assignment: Layered eBook Cover

1. Review your Contact Sheet images from Week 1 and select what you feel are the best 3 images to use to create an eBook cover.

2. Create a Photoshop document size of 1,600 pixels wide and 2,560 pixels high.

3. Place each of the 3 images on separate layers in the Photoshop document.

4. Name the layers the same unique and descriptive names that you named the images.

5. Design your book cover to be visually appealing

6. Add a stroke to one of the images that is visible on the layers panel

7. Add an opacity to the top layer that lets the other layers show through and that is visible on the layers panel

8. Use a layer mask on the middle image that masks part of the image and is visible on the layers panel

9. Add text for the Book Title and Author

10. Save the image as a layered .psd file

11. Flatten the image and save as a separate .jpg.
