Question 2: Bennett was a purchasing agent for Mueller Appliances. Finley, a salesperson for Sandusky Furniture, told Bennett that the furniture Bennett wanted had doubled in price. Bennett went ahead and purchased the furniture anyway. When Mueller found out about the price increase and Bennett's purchase, Mueller refused to honor the contract, saying Bennett did not have authority to make the purchase and that since Mueller didn't know about the price increase before the purchase, he could not be held to the contract. Is Mueller correct? Why or why not?

Question 3: Jack Garfield worked as a bank teller for the Farmers' Savings and Loan Bank. Although he was a loyal and competent employee, he was discharged so that the head of the S&L could give the job to someone else. Was Garfield an employee at will? What were his rights under the employment-at-will doctrine? Would it be any different if Garfield had had an employment contract for 1-year periods (that could be renewed at the will of the S&L)? Explain fully.
