Problem: Technological advances have made the world a smaller place. Today, we can communicate with people around the globe in seconds, even though there are time and space differences. As the world becomes smaller, it seems that many individuals forget that every country has a different culture, history, ideas, beliefs, points of views, ideologies, and expectations. These differences make each country and culture unique. When dealing with ethical and DEI biases we must first evaluate the context to then find possible solutions. In some countries, it is easier to talk about DEI, inequalities, and unethical practices while in others these topics might be taken slightly differently. In some countries talking about DEI initiatives can be a taboo. In some cultures, it is believed that if you do not talk about something, then it doesn't exist. With the above information in mind. Explain how DEI is perceived in Thailand and Egypt. If you were the HR Director for an international organization established in Thailand and Egypt, what two initiatives would you create to promote DEI in each of your selected countries? Why do you think your initiatives will be the best way to improve DEI? What are some forceable issues?
