What risks or challenges might a manager encounter if they have not mastered these objectives? Explain.

Management entails certain qualities that lead to getting their subordinates to do whatever has been planned by the manager. If the manager isn't a good communicator than their subordinates will not be able to accomplish the goal set forth by the manager ( Editorial Board, 2015).

If a manager has not mastered his skill of managing then he/she risks failure, because there hasn't been enough training put in, to do the job to the best of ones ability. It's the same as taking this MBA program, to get the necessary information to increase our knowledge in the subject matter of business. Knowledge is power, which is what we must do to reach our objectives, which is leadership and management.

How are leadership and management similar?

According to Editorial Board (2015) the two, work hand in hand, in other words you should have both with a successful organization. Leadership is leading a group of individuals by inspiring and motivating, while management plans, organizes and coordinates its' group.

Different? Leadership is responsible for the people they lead. Managers seem to zero in on accountability of their people and can pass their responsibility to others (Editorial Board, 2015).

What are some examples of ethical challenges that leaders and managers face in today's global business environment?

We are in technological world, with information changing all the time. Some people feel that if they gather inside information from an employee of a company, they feel this can get them where they want to be financially, promotion wise, or looking grandiose. For example: Martha Stewart, Bernard Madoff, and President Richard Nixon, to name a few. These people received inside information that caused them great harm (imprisonment, and impeachment). These people made unethical decisions, which cost them dearly. The code of conduct was broken by all of them.

Are leaders born or made? I personally feel that leaders are made. Even if they were born into a position, for ex: (Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince Harry).

Defend your position. Queen Elizabeth II was born a Queen but had to be taught what to do for her position. This is the same for her son Prince Charles, and grandson Prince Harry, they all had to be taught what they had to do, even though they were born into their position.
