Problem
This course was my first contextual introduction to managerial accounting; however, I had performed these activities in my professional experience, just not in a management accountant role. As an auditor currently, I have been evaluating and testing financial reporting, not working to record and report the activities of an organization's operations. My prior work experience in the field supported my understanding as I progressed through the course as the strategies and concepts presented aligned with business activities I had once worked with. Understanding the role of a management accountant now allows me to better understand how the financial reports I assess are put together. Though a CMA would be best for a management accountant, I am interested in pursuing a CPA certification. As an auditor, I want to be informed and equipped to the best of my abilities to better understand and work through audit engagements. Get the instant assignment help.
