The job is Business Operations Analyst
Part I: Describe your dream job. Be as specific as possible. What leadership behaviors are necessary to be successful in this position?
Part II: What leadership behaviors can you practice this quarter (in your team) that will help you develop the skills necessary to be successful in your dream job? Specifically:
Review your SLPI scores and choose one practice you would like to improve.
Choose 2 behaviors within that practice.
For each of the 2 behaviors, what are the specific actions you will take to improve? Use the SMART goals framework to specify each action:
Specific: Is your action clear and simple? What is it that you want to accomplish? Who is involved? When will it take place? Where will it take place?
Measurable: Is there a clear way to measure completion or success?
Attainable/Action-Oriented: Can this goal be accomplished? How?
Relevant/Reasonable: Is this action relevant for the goal you have in mind as a leader?
Timely: Is a time frame attached? If so, what is it?
Below is an example of a SMART goal. Please use the formatting from this example for your post.
SMART Goal Example:
Behavior: Motivating others Through Conversation and Public Speaking
Specific: This is similar to my first goal, but I will focus more on the public speaking aspect. In my apartment each Sunday I will work on performing a speech, Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address", to my 3 roommates and not stop until I have fully memorized it and can perform it well. I think this will help my speech skills in general and it gives me a baseline (the specific speech) to perform from.
Measurable: I will give my roommates a 1-5 criteria of Enunciation, Eye-Contact, Evoking Emotion and Accuracy.
Attainable/Action-Oriented: I will continue giving them this speech until they all give me all 5's in those criteria and use their feedback to perfect the speech.
Relevant/Reasonable: This is very relevant to having a job where you have to speak as much as an NFL GM does.
Timely: Every Sunday until I master it and then re-evlaute.
