a block of mass m1 = 11 kg is held at the top of a frictionless inclined plane at point A , 6m above the ground. A second block of mass m2 = 24 kg sits at rest on the horizontal frictionless surface at the bottom of the inclined plane at point B. Mass m1 is released, slides down the plane and collides with mass m2 at point B. the two masses join together and slide across the frictionless plane towards point C. They then collide at point C with a spring that gets compresses. the spring constant is 710 N/m. What is the speed of each mass just before they collide with each other? What is the speed of each block just after they collide with each other? What is the the maximum compression of the spring? What is the work done on the spring as it is compressed?
