Homework: Current Event
This homework requires you to identify a current event related to strategic management and explore that specific phenomenon in more detail. For the purposes of this class, a current event is defined as a person, place, event, or other phenomena that have recently been discussed or examined in a legitimate (not social media) regional, national, or international media platform.
There are three components to this homework:
The current event - you need to turn in a copy of the article or link to the source
The written analysis (see below)
The textbook can be utilized as a starting place for topic ideas, but ultimately, you will need outside material to expand your understanding of the chosen phenomenon. Outside materials include newspaper articles, radio commentaries (NPR), magazine articles, journal (practitioner or academic) articles, interviews, legitimate websites, and videos. Blogs and other non-published commentaries will not be accepted (unless written by a reputable industry leader).
1-page analysis of written analysis. Correct citations and the use of the English language will be graded. The following topics must be addressed:
