Case Study A:
James is an 80 year old gay man who has recently entered aged care due to a stroke. His long term partner Gary visit every second day. James has limited speech and movement and is extremely withdrawn, however when Gary arrives and cuddles him, his face lights up and tears roll down his face. James insists on wearing the colour pink and becomes agitated if anyone dresses him in anything else.
